About Elsker creations
Elsker Creations was born out of things that Sian loves. It is a multi-faceted company that, over the past 10 years has been honing its skills and craft. With a love of traditional crafts we offer a variety of workshops aimed at interested individuals to help them develop their skills and creativity in these areas. Alongside this, we take commissions and have an online shop.
Over the past 10 years, our founder, Sian Thomas, has worked across a range of industries and acquired a variety of skills. She has two passions in life; art and food, and has always strived towards combining them.
On graduating from university, Sian entered the world of art, working in some of the best commercial galleries in the world. Having delivered several community arts projects, she launched an ideal internship programme’ aimed at giving interns a rewarding experience, one that will allow them to, acquire new skills. She then went on to start an online gallery to promote young artists alongside studying for a Masters in Management and Enterprise for the Creative Industries from University of Arts.
It was at this point that Sian started to miss the food side of things, having worked in hospitality from the age of 18. She worked in Le Pain Quotidien for 7 years learning all aspects of the company before leaving to become Head of Operations for an artisan coffee company, The New Black Coffee. Sian’s main role while at Le Pain Quotidien, was as Regional Trainer. This was a creative role and where she learned and honed her skills as a facilitator.
Throughout this period Sian was learning and developing skills outside the work environment from screen printing and lampshade making to sewing, knitting, gilding and photography. She has been creating her own works and developing these skills for over 10 years.
